During the first Ship Finance Master Class Lloyd’s Maritime Academy will hold in Germany, Dr. Detlef Laub, senior manager at TPW KG will speak on the legal and tax aspects of alternative ship financing in current markets. Main topics of his lecture will be:

- Raising fresh capital from the owners in a KG
- Raising fresh capital from new partners in a KG
- Current trends in refinancing and restructuring KG funds - 
  exploring the options
- Alternatives to the KG house model: the private placement
- Creating losses by leaving tonnage taxation
- Fresh capital in ship management companies
